September 2018 ANYTHING BRITISH Contest at IPMS Ottawa

These are the entries to the annual IPMS Farnborough "Anything British" contest held by IPMS Ottawa every September. Members brought out a nice selection of things British built or used; new and old.

FIRST PLACE
HMS Kent is a Type 23, Duke Class frigate of the Royal Navy. This is a Trumpeter 1:350 scale kit with added PE and rigging. The Cody Tree Trophy is pictured behind the winning model.

SECOND PLACE
Eduard 1:48 scale SPITFIRE MkXVI with added cowling and seat belts and cannons.







THIRD PLACE
Eduard 1:48 scale SPITFIRE Mk VIII.
Pilot F/L Yarnell (RCAF) attached to RAF 601 Sqdn, and shown as it looked when Yarnell made his first and only kill. This si the uncle of the builder. Decals by Belcher Bits. Cowling by Ultracast.

Amy Johnson.  Bad Squiddo Models 1:10 scale. Amy Johnson set many long-distance flying records in the 1930s, then died in mysterious circumstances while flying an Airspeed Oxford for the ATA.
