| P-40 with mostly hand-painted markings and an interior |
P-40 in scheme of Suzanne Parish who flew as part of the WASP in WWII. After the war, she took up flying again and purchased a number of planes, including this P-40 which she had custom painted, painting it pink and with makeup on the shark mouth and eyes. She flew this plane until the age of 70, but continued flying other aircraft well into her 70s. She also founded the Air Zoo in Kalamazoo, an aviation museum where her P-40 hangs in the atrium.
